You don't want to send conflicting signals to the computer. Let the engine sit for five to ten minutes, then try to restart the engine several times. When it began to happen more often, it was only when it sat a few hours, over night or such.

It was odd because when all the accessories come on but it won't crank, you wouldn't think to check the battery. I had it towed, and after an hour or so, it started. It does this sometimes when its damp and rainy.
Maybe you need a new mechanic since reproducing a moisture related problem is not that hard even when its not raining. Choke on, choke off, ¼ throttle, let it sit, try again, charge the battery, pulled the spark plug and it was slightly wet. There is gas flowing to the carb. So, i adjusted the valves (only a wee bit loose), adjusted the points (bang on) and adjusted the timing (bang on). Once everything has dried out its a good idea to go around and put dielectric gel on all electrical connections to help repel water in the future and to keep things from corroding since they already are.
Wouldn't start for a day because the battery connections were loose. The plug wires look good but will keep them in mind as well as check for codes. I would let it run for a while with hood open to allow moisture to flow out from under the hood to avoid other components from getting wet.
Good morning, check for moisture in the distributor and use a blow dryer to dry it out. Well i work 12hr night shifts at the hospital, and its dark outside, and my brain isn't really on yet. It won't run for long most likely, we're just determining if it's a fuel problem.
It would be once or so a month, then once a week, then once a day, not wont start at all. The check engine light will come on for two seconds and go out. Honda gx390 13hp won't start.
